Hair Perfection!

Billy began his career as a hairstylist in 1974 in Boston. After four years he returned to his native State of Maine and opened his first salon in Waterville; now known as People’s Salon & Spa. In 2000, he decided to try out the Portland market,splitting his time between two locations. In 2002, Billy and Melissa purchased the Portland establishment and renamed it Knaughty Hair Salon.

Throughout his career, he has studied with many of the masters in the beauty profession, The Chadwicks, Jingles, Alan Benfield Bush, Tony & Guy, as well as many of the top educators at L’Oreal Professional. He continues to travel frequently to N.Y.C. to attend workshops, as well as across the country and Europe. For several years, Billy also served as a Senior Educator for ABBA, a professional care hair company, traveling around the country working many major trade shows; as well as educating others in the art of hair cutting, coloring, and finish work.

The beauty profession is a huge passion for Billy, and he enjoys working with his clients to help them bring out their best and feel good about the way they look. On a personal note, Billy also runs and owns The Pleasant Street Inn in Waterville and loves his two Jack Russell Terriers, Chauncey and Lucy.

Ana has been a licensed esthetician since 2007 and has been involved in the beauty industry for almost 15 years. Formally of Paradiso Salon and Spa and also Fabu, Ana is extremely excited to be back with her team at Knaughty, as she originally worked with them almost 15 years ago!

Ana enjoys and provides a variety of skincare services, from full body waxing to customized facials, and she especially enjoys providing makeup services for wedding parties. Ana’s goal is to have you leave the salon feeling beautiful, pampered, and renewed!
